I wanted to send out
a quick reminder (per many requests from you) to let you know that
An Imaginary Visit To A Past Vacation starts TOMORROW!! I can't
wait—I'm hoping to get more done on my, ahem, 17-year-old vacation journal as the dust is collecting on the sketchbook again! Click
here if you'd like to join in the fun and for more information.
Also,
An Imaginary Visit to The Classroom: Sketching Water starts on this
Thursday, March 4th. When I ask you what color you think of
when I ask what color water is, what is your answer? Clear? Blue? Green? It's all of those things and more. That's part of the reason we get so confused when we try to depict water in our sketch books. If you'd like to learn more, please click
here to join us in "the classroom."
If you've already signed up—thank you! I know we're going to be having
a great deal of fun with both of these classes as there's so much to learn.
We've been discussing "messy work spaces" over on Painted Thoughts Blog. (Please click the blog name to go to the messy desk discussion.) Which
do you prefer, clean or messy? It's seems many of us "default" to messy until we can't stand it anymore, but some of you clean up your work space every evening (and oh, how I envy you!).
I'll be posting a follow-up post showing some images of the desks folks have sent to me over the last few days. If you'd like to send me yours, you send the photo
to the address laure.ferlita@imaginarytrips.com. If you have a blog/web site/Flickr account, please send that too!
As always, I hope you're making time to capture life in your sketchbooks!
