Saying Thanks...To You and For You
This time of year, life seems to get a little frantic with travel and big meals to plan and prepare. There is so much in my life for which I am most grateful and your friendship,, is one of those blessings.

Things like pumpkins, cooler temps (for Florida, that's a big deal), and a scattering of leaves changing color also make the list. But I find there are many "little" blessings or unintentional kindnesses which are easily and often overlooked. They are too quickly swept away in constant flow of life.

To remedy this, I dedicated a couple of pages in my sketchbook to remind me to notice and remember these very things by capturing them on the page. It has been fun capturing the ideas as I've gone along. My page is nowhere near done, but I plan on sharing it on the Painted Thoughts Blog at the end of the month.

If you're interested in the idea and joining in, you can read more about it on the blog. Just click on the "read more" link below. If you decide to join the fun, let me know! I'd love to see your pages as well.

Meanwhile, I wish each of you a month of blessings as well as time to savor them with friends and family!

Gorgeous decorations go up in stores, restaurants, and on streets, social media becomes flooded with inspiring images of decorated homes, packages, trees, and wreathes along with how-to-do-just-about-anything-holiday-related tutorials! And I want to pull out my paints and brushes and get busy...

But it seems when inspiration abounds, it is always when time is the most scarce. We can always give up a few hours of sleep, but that's usually happening anyway. Sound familiar?

Well, our opportunity has come! No more stressing in December to create some art for cards or gifts. To help both of us get started with creating holiday art each month all year long, I've created 'Tis The Season - An Online Holiday Class! Each month, on the first Wednesday of the month, you'll have a class available to you which will include an art element as well as a lettering element along with other goodies!

If you don't have time to do the class right away, that's okay because you'll have a minimum of a year with the class materials! There's also three class options to check out depending on your learning style and interest. Come and check it out here!

A Few Hints For Inspiration Well Past The Holidays
1.) Take a look through the list of projects you can see here (click the link and scroll down). While you're out and about, snap photos with your mobile phone of any of the subjects you really like so that when it's time for that project to roll around, you'll have plenty of reference material!

2.) While there are decorations everywhere, it seems we always like certain color combinations best, but there's always one or two that are different and unusual. Go ahead and snap some quick shots of those non-traditional color combos to use as inspiration.

3.) Have a favorite decoration that always comes out each season? Maybe a gift or keepsake that belonged to a family member long ago? Go ahead and take photos of it along with your favorite ornaments, wreathes, trees and anything else that inspires you—you never know when those images will come in handy and it beats having to wait until next November comes back around to get another photo of those items!

I hope you'll come and join in the fun and just think of all the holiday art you'll have created by this time next year.

P.S. There's going to be a special FREE class available on the Painted Thoughts Blog on November 28th!

Dreams Really Do Come True!
Since we're on the subject of being grateful, I also want to say thanks for the HUGE outpouring of love and support for the Paris 2018 trip! You have humbled me, inspired me and amazed me with your response to this trip. Who know sketching in Paris was on so many bucket lists?!

There is a very special camaraderie that happens on a trip when we're immersed in a new place and sharing it with other likeminded artists. We learn from each other, we inspire each other and we cheer each other on regardless of whether it's to move past the fear of sketching in public for the first time or when a page goes in a new and unexpected direction. You don't come home with just an awesome sketchbook, you come home with a pocketful of new friends!

If sharing these types of experiences sounds appealing, I hope you'll go ahead and inquire about the trip. With all the interest, folks are beginning to sign up and I don't want ANYONE to miss out on this awesome opportunity. Click the link below to learn all about this fantabulous trip!

Keep filling the page!
