Gorgeous decorations go up in stores, restaurants, and on streets, social media becomes flooded with inspiring images of decorated homes, packages, trees, and wreathes along with how-to-do-just-about-anything-holiday-related tutorials! And I want to pull out my paints and brushes
and get busy...
But it seems when inspiration abounds, it is always when time is the most scarce. We can always give up a few hours of sleep, but that's usually happening anyway. Sound familiar?
Well, our opportunity has come! No more stressing in December to create some art for cards or gifts. To help both of us get started with creating holiday art each month all year long, I've created 'Tis The Season - An Online Holiday Class! Each month, on the first Wednesday of the month, you'll have a class available to you which will include an art element
as well as a lettering element along with other goodies!
If you don't have time to do the class right away, that's okay because you'll have a minimum of a year with the class materials! There's also three class options to check out depending on your learning style and
interest. Come and check it out here!
A Few Hints For Inspiration Well Past The Holidays
1.) Take a look through the list of projects you can see here (click the link and scroll down). While you're out and about, snap photos with your mobile phone of any of the subjects you really like so that when it's
time for that project to roll around, you'll have plenty of reference material!
2.) While there are decorations everywhere, it seems we always like certain color combinations best, but there's always one or two that are different and unusual. Go ahead and snap some quick shots of those non-traditional color combos to use
as inspiration.
3.) Have a favorite decoration that always comes out each season? Maybe a gift or keepsake that belonged to a family member long ago? Go ahead and take photos of it along with your favorite ornaments, wreathes, trees and anything else that inspires you—you never know when those images will come in handy and it beats
having to wait until next November comes back around to get another photo of those items!
I hope you'll come and join in the fun and just think of all the holiday art you'll have created by this time next year.

P.S. There's going to be a special FREE class available on the
Painted Thoughts Blog on November 28th!
