I don't know about you, , but 2020 has felt both ten years long and wait, how can it possibly be October?! Apparently, the virus is affecting the time continuum as well as everything else.
For the most part, life has carried on for us much as it did before the pandemic sent us all into lockdown. That said, I have missed getting together with friends and seeing students during classes every month.
To help with the disconnect and isolation, I've been teaching via the Zoom platform and I see this continuing for the foreseeable future or at least until it's safe to gather again.
I hope you can join me for a live class as we really have a great deal of fun and it's so nice to share "space" with others in the pursuit of art. One of the participants in a recent class mention it felt like being at a table in the coffee shop with close friends and creating together! I love that comment as it perfectly described the class!
Below, I've listed new and pastclasses in the hopes of tempting you!
Before I forget, I want to mention one other new thing that's recently happened—there is now a group over on Facebook for ImaginaryTrips.com alumni! Whether it was a live class, a workshop or online, if we've worked together, you're in! The group is called the ImaginaryTrips.com Parea. Simply put, a "parea" is Greek for a group of friends who enrich one another's lives through sharing and contact.
I hope you'll join us. Please click here for the group!
Upcoming Classes
Online Zoom Class: Gnome-y October!
Starting Saturday, October 10th, Noon ESDT!
Who doesn't love trick-or-treaters? It seems unlikely we'll have many this year, so I've decided to create my own and I invite you to do the same!
This gnome class will actually be a four-part class with live classes occurring on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Each live class will be approximately an hour long.
Can't make a class? Not to worry—all classes are recorded and will be available (unedited) shortly after the class is over. I will go back and edit the class videos later on. Oh, and there will be homework!
We've been painting quilt squares for the last few months and this is the first one that speaks to the season! What's not to love about a happy pumpkin face beaming out to wish everyone a Happy Halloween?!
This class usually runs about two hours, sometimes a little more. It is also recorded as are all of my classes so you can come back and watch it again and again!
Former Zoom Online Class: Autumn Leaf Quilt Square
This vibrant leaf quilt square class happened back in September but is now available and you can get started at any time! Values and texture play a huge role in contributing to the fun and overall appeal of this square.
Gel pens make adding the texture to the various sections as easy as can be. Sound like fun? Click below to get started today!
Autumn leaves are so much fun to paint! Even though this class was planned in summer (for Florida, anyway) and long before the leaves start to change, it didn't matter! We used the leaf shape and then added color to our heart's content using an analogous palette!
For added fun, I painted these on postcards and then showed several ways you can add lettering with touches of metallics to dress up the lettering and give the leaves a bit of sparkle! I do hope you'll join me!
There are plenty of classes to be found at The Imaginary Realm! The Imaginary Realm hosts many of my former classes from Imaginary Trips as well as my on-site classes. There's a little bit of everything from flamingos to sunsets, trips to Paris and a jaunt across Canada
to all kinds of holiday fun for December! Come and visit to see what might tempt you today!
